Magic: The Gathering® | Secrets of Strixhaven Prerelease

Format

• Sealed deck, casual enforcement
  
• Each Player will get a Pre-Release Kit on entry. Kits will be distributed in order of ticket purchase date + time.
• Players will get 50 minutes to build their deck
• Players will play 3 Rounds in a best-of-3 format (50-minute rounds)
• All contents of your kit may be used to build your deck, including promos.

Prizing

• Each player gets a prerelease pack + one extra booster pack on entry. You must play in the event to receive your pack. 
• One pack will be entered into the prize pool per player and split among X-0 and X-1s.
  

What is a prerelease event?

Magic returns to the beloved mage school in Secrets of Strixhaven, where players will uncover years of mysteries as they explore its hallowed halls and beyond. The five colleges are back, each with its own unique look, feel, and magic focus. As players improve skills, make academic discoveries, and work to prove which college is the best, they must beware: second-year knowledge comes with greater danger.

There are five versions of the Prerelease Pack for Secrets of Strixhaven, each aligned with one of Strixhaven's colleges: Silverquill, Prismari, Witherbloom, Lorehold, and Quandrix. Each includes a college-themed seeded booster and a Spindown™ life counter.

Prerelease Packs contain everything a player needs to build a deck and begin facing off in epic one-on-one matches.

    • May contain these cards: TMT 1–252; PZA 1–20
    • 1–5 cards of rarity rare or higher (2: 25%; 3: 3%; 4: <1%)
    • 2–5 uncommon cards
    • 6–10 common cards
    • 1 land card
    • 1 card of any rarity is traditional foil
    • Foil borderless mythic rare Turtle in <1% of boosters
    • Traditional foil land replaces a land in 20% of boosters
    • 1 traditional foil rare/mythic rare card
