Emmett’s ToyStop

1. Sponsor

These giveaways are sponsored and administered by Emmett’s ToyStop (“Sponsor”), located in Ontario, Canada.

2. Eligibility

Giveaways are open to legal residents of Canada excluding Quebec who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory at the time of entry.

Employees of Emmett’s ToyStop, its affiliates, and immediate family members are not eligible to win.

Void where prohibited by law.

3. Agreement to Rules

By participating, entrants agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Terms & Conditions and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters related to the giveaway.

4. Giveaway Period

Each giveaway will have a specific start and end date (the “Giveaway Period”), which will be clearly stated in the applicable giveaway announcement.

5. How to Enter

Entry methods will be outlined in each individual giveaway announcement and may include, but are not limited to:

  • Purchase-based entries
  • Social media engagement (e.g., commenting, following, sharing)
  • Alternate Method of Entry (see Section 6)

Limitations on the number of entries (if any) will be specified per giveaway.

6. No Purchase Necessary (Alternate Method of Entry – AMOE)

No purchase is necessary to enter or win.

To enter without purchase, entrants may submit a handwritten postcard or letter mailed to:

The submission must include:

  • Full name
  • Contact information (email or phone number)
  • Name of your favourite Pokémon

Mail-in entries must be received prior to the giveaway end date to be eligible.

Each valid AMOE submission will receive the number of entries specified in the applicable giveaway announcement.

7. Prize(s)

Prize details, including description, quantity, and approximate retail value (“ARV”), will be specified in each giveaway announcement.

All prizes:

  • Must be accepted as awarded
  • Are non-transferable and not redeemable for cash
  • May be substituted by the Sponsor with a prize of equal or greater value if necessary

8. Winner Selection

Winners will be selected in a random draw from all eligible entries received during the Giveaway Period, unless otherwise specified.

Selected entrants will be contacted using the method associated with their entry (e.g., email, Instagram, etc.).

9. Skill-Testing Question (Canada Requirement)

To be declared a winner, selected entrants must correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question without assistance.

10. Winner Verification & Claim

Selected entrants must:

  • Respond within the timeframe specified in the giveaway announcement (typically 24–48 hours)
  • Complete any required verification form
  • Provide accurate shipping and contact information

Failure to comply may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.

11. Disqualification

The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who:

  • Violates these Terms & Conditions
  • Provides false or misleading information
  • Attempts to tamper with the entry process or operation of the giveaway
  • Engages in fraudulent or unfair practices

12. Publicity Release

By accepting a prize, winners agree to allow Emmett’s ToyStop to use their name, username, and/or likeness for promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

13. Limitation of Liability

The Sponsor is not responsible for:

  • Lost, late, incomplete, delayed, or misdirected entries (including mail-in entries)
  • Technical failures of any kind
  • Errors in the administration of the giveaway
  • Any injury or damage resulting from participation or prize use

14. Right to Modify or Cancel

Emmett’s ToyStop reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify any giveaway at any time if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the giveaway.

15. Privacy

Personal information collected will be used solely for the administration of the giveaway and in accordance with Emmett’s ToyStop’s Privacy Policy. Entrants may receive marketing communications if they have opted in.

16. Platform Disclaimer

If a giveaway is conducted via social media (including Instagram or Facebook), it is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with those platforms.

By entering, you release such platforms from any responsibility related to the giveaway.

17. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada.

18. Giveaway-Specific Terms

Each giveaway may include additional terms, which will be outlined in the specific giveaway announcement. In the event of any inconsistency, those specific terms will prevail.
